Ah go on, just look at this adorable Umbrella Cockatoo. It is so cute. Its’ creamy plumage and those yellows melting into it makes it look so cosy, so comfortable and well, just plain cute. Of course, it also looks quite sumptuous, luxuriating in a quilt of the best, warmest, softest, deepest, feathers imaginable. The one pictured here is male, I know this because he has black eyes, the females have brown eyes.  They live in Indonesia in the rain forests in small groups of between 2 birds and 10 birds. I think they are very beautiful birds indeed.

 

This image here I was particularly happy with as I only had moment to take it. I feel it really captures a bird that is regal and full of class. It glanced at me for a moment and I felt its’ contempt for the human creature gazing at it. I snapped the shot and it was all over. Off it went, it was not going to give another chance. But one opportunity was all I needed as I love this image and I hope you do too.
